Routine maintenance of the Fire Alarm system. Drax Fire Services will need access to the entire hall including all flats, kitchens and bedrooms. Drax engineers will be entering bedrooms to test head detector.

Please beware there will be intermittent sounding of the Fire alarm during in the routine maintenance. The alarms will sound continuously for no longer the 60 seconds. If the alarm sounds for longer than 60 seconds you must evacuate the building immediately as this will not be a test.

*******************************************************************Work will be commencing on Monday 28 September outside the buildings at Lancaster Complex.

Summary of works

The works comprise of the replacement of the existing underground Lancaster Complex primary heating infrastructure pipework serving the following buildings with heating and hot water:

Maria Grey Hall (housing the primary plant room)
Borough Road Hall
Lancaster Hotel and Spa
Southwark Hall
Stockwell Hall
Arts Centre / Gordon Hall

Programme

The heating replacement works will commence on Monday 28^th September 2020 and we expect to complete the works by Friday 18^th December 2020.

Location

The works will all talk place externally at the Lancaster Complex. The contractor will not be required to enter the halls.

Disruption

Where there will be any disruption to the heating and/or hot water as part of the switch over from the existing system to the new system, two weeks notice will be provided. Whilst there will be noise, we will take all precautions to minimise the impacts on yourselves.
